The Must Do
beach combing Work on your tan– The beach: a 4-minute walk from your room, 3 miles (5 km) of virgin land, white sand, crystal clear water, lots of sun and nothing but wide open space (view photos).

party

Hit the dance floor- Being home to a large and lively student community, the area offers a vibrant night life. Some especially popular places in the valley are:

Inigo Bar – the place to see and be seen; hosts a beautiful crowd and features rave parties and karaoke nights (view photos).

Banana Beach Bar- right on the beach, open 24/7, the real home of the local students, features reggae nights and beach parties all year long (view photos).

Kinzey Bar- the most popular concert bar in the area; features live shows with the greatest artists from the Israeli scene (view photos).

kite surfing Fly with the wind- Being the home town of the world champion in wind surfing, Miss Lee Kurzitz, Mikhmoret is the Mecca for kite surfers. Surf Point kite surfing school, which is right on the beach, offers trial classes and short courses for surfers at all levels (view photos

horse riding Check out the sunset by horse back- The near by Cactus Ranch offers horse-back riding tours once a day, which begin at the ranch (located in the middle of the park) and get you to the beach just in time to catch the last light before sundown (view photos).

cycling

Cycling on Alexander Creek- Gushing from the Shomron Mountains, Alexander Creek cuts through the valley until it finally merges into the Mediterranean Sea right between Mikhmoret and Beit Yanai beach.

As off-road cycling has become extremely popular in the valley in the last few years, many off-road trails have been paved around the creek (view photos).

diving

Israel Underwater- The Mediterranean Sea contains unique underwater scenery: octopuses, a variety of fish, coral reefs, underwater caves, turtles, and many other beautiful creatures.

“Li Yam,” a scuba diving club, offers equipment rentals, diving courses, and an introduction diving class.

marina

View the sunset from Mikhmoret Marina- Mikhmoret Marina was built by the first settlers and was used as a small fishing wharf when fishing was the back- bone of the village economy back in the old days.

Today the marina is used by the local marine school, which preserves its original, picturesque uniqueness. Boating classes take place every Saturday , when visitors can take a kayak or a wind surf board and go explore the Mediterranean Sea

turtels Feed the turtles- The soft turtle is an inhabitant of Alexander Creek; the turtles go offshore to lay their eggs and can be viewed at Soft Turtle Viewpoint

hiking Go for a walk in the park- Israel Trail, an off-road trail which crosses Israel from north to south, covering a total of 600 miles (1000km), passes through the near-by Hasharon Park, which is home to a variety of wildlife: foxes, jackals, and different kinds of birds (view photos).
