The Village

Welcome to Mikhmoret, the vacation jewel of Israel . White sandy beaches are waiting for you to experience the natural beauty of this resort. Fishing, cycling, kite-surfing, trail hiking, and a rich night life are a few of Mikhmoret’s major attractions.

So why Mikhmoret?

  • Location: convenient bus and rail connections to Tel Aviv, Haifa, and Jerusalem.
  • The crown jewel resort of Israel: a 4-minute walk from your room to the beach (view photos).
  • Vibrant night life: being the home of the Marine Studies College, it hosts a very lively student community (view photos).
  • Nature: located right in the heart of Hasharon Park, the largest state park in the center of Israel, it is home to a variety of wildlife: foxes, jackals, and different kinds of birds (view photos).
  • Surfers’ Mecca: the near-by Beit Yanai beach is the leading beach for kite surfing on the Mediterranean Sea and attracts surfers from all over Israel (view photos).
  • Endless attractions: horse-back riding on the beach at sunset, biking and hiking in the park, kite surfing courses, scuba diving, and about anything you can think of ( check out the must do ).

The Atmosphere

Located in Hefer Valley, right in the center of Israel, surrounded by the beautiful Hasharon state park, and bordering 3 miles (5 km) of the Mediterranean Sea, Mikhmoret was built in the 40’s by a group of immigrants from Western Europe as a fishermen’s village.

Today Mikhmoret is home to 1000 inhabitants, many of whom are students at the College of Marine Studies who bring a very young, lively, and peaceful atmosphere to the village.
